The council’s financial affairs are conducted in accordance with its Standing Orders and specific Financial Regulations. These are based on those recommended by NALC and conform to government legislation. The latest version readopted at the council meeting held on 5 May 2021 can be found here.
Each January the council produces an annual budget and sets the precept it obtains from the local authority (Amber Valley Borough Council). The council does not own any land or buildings. It is a trustee to two charities – one for a field at Mount Pleasant, Ireton Wood and the other for the Playing Field outside the village on the B5023 opposite Jebb’s Lane.
