It is with much sadness and regret that NIdridgehay & Alton and Ashleyhay Parish Council must announce the passing of Cllr. Robert Tatler. At this difficult time, the Council’s prayers and warmest thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Cllr. Tatler was one of the longest-serving Councillors of the Parish.

We wanted to inform you of an issue regarding the Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs) that were recently installed in our community. Unfortunately, we have become aware that these devices are not currently operational.

Rest assured, the Parish Council takes road safety very seriously, and we are actively addressing this issue. We have already contacted the supplier responsible for the installation and maintenance of these devices, requesting immediate assistance to rectify the situation.

While we understand the importance of these SIDs in helping to monitor and manage traffic speeds within our community, we ask for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, we kindly remind all residents to continue observing speed limits and practicing safe driving habits. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in ensuring the safety of our roads for everyone.

We will provide updates on the progress of the repairs and restoration of the Speed Indicator Devices as soon as they become available. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of Idridgehay & Alton and Ashleyhay Parish Council will take place at 7:00PM on Wednesday 8th November 2023 at St James Church, Idridgehay.

Members of the Public are entitled to attend the meeting, however it would be greatly appreciated if questions could be submitted in advance so that they can be accurately recorded on the minutes of the meeting.
